We need your help!
This year our young club has achieved a milestone - we’ve qualified for the Surrey road league race series. 🎉
We are a social running club and we love to encourage each other to achieve our running goals whatever form they take. Taking part in the Surrey road league is an opportunity for us all and whether you are racing in the middle, front and back of the pack it is going to be a fun time. 🎉
EPIC reasons why you should sign up to at least one race:
🏃 There are seven league events and various distances between 5k and half marathon
🚗 They are all nearby, a bus or a train ride away
💰They are cheap to enter
🏆Perfect opportunity to pick one event and aim for a PB
🎁 We will have SHAEF prizes for those who enter - ranging from “league muppet” to “best personal performance”
🥂 Because the Prosecco we’ll drink after competing tastes better with friends.
📣We will be cheering you on!
We’d like to be well represented at the events and we would love to have at least 4 men and women at each of the seven events.
Kit Powney and Oliver Edwards are our women's and men's captains this year helping coordinate our efforts.
How do I sign up?
The events are now open for registration and they are going to sell up fast! ⏰
Look at the event dates and then let Kit and Ollie know which ones you have entered or add your name on the Trello board.
We’ll keep the information on races coming. If you’re not a club member yet, you can still enter now. We have agreed to email the league lead with any relevant names to make sure you count as SHAEF team members on the day.
So what are you waiting for? On your marks, get set, race!
